QED - always first for materials & equipment

The new cordless vertical compaction

Only available from QED, the new HotTip cordless vertical compaction device is the latest addition to the cordless range of endodontic equipment that QED has in its catalogue and featured on its easy to use website, www.qedendo.co.uk.
The HotTip is the ultimate in cordless warm vertical compaction devices and supersedes old-fashioned cable machines. It features multiple temperature settings (150°C, 180°C, 200°C and 230°C) to accommodate both gutta percha and resilon, with a quick heating tip that reaches temperature within 10 seconds. Completely cordless, compact, lightweight and ergonomically designed, it incorporates a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that facilitates multiple uses on a single charge and allows the operator to complete many cases without the need to recharge. Finally, it comes complete with a tip, so it is ready to use immediately, with a full range of optional tips available separately.

The cordless backfill obturation system

The HotShot enables fast and easy delivery of warm obturation material for the endodontic backfill technique, facilitating rapid obturation of even the most difficult root canals more completely, in less time, and with less patient discomfort.
The HotShot is cordless, compact and easy to handle. It features variable temperature settings that allow practitioners to control the flow characteristics of the material; a rechargeable lithium ion battery that will support hours of use from a single charge; and a choice of needle size 23g and 25g with a 360o swivel for improved access. The HotShot is featured on QED’s easy to navigate website, www.qedendo.co.uk, which also incorporates an online ordering facility

Introducing QED's new irrigant range

QED is introducing a new range of irrigants and similar related products that will be extremely useful for every practitioner with
an interest in endodontics from the specialist endodontist to the general practitioner.
It has a comprehensive list that includes chlorhexidine 2%, sodium hypochlorite 2% and <6%, citric acid, EDTA, eucalyptus oil plus many other very useful products. QED’s new irrigant range is just one of the additions detailed within its new endodontic catalogue and featured on www.qedendo.co.uk, the online version.

SteriFiles - sterile and blister packed

It’s been scientifically proven that it’s impossible to adequately clean and sterilize endodontic instruments after use. Therefore, QED has
introduced pre-sterilized K- and H-type SteriFiles in individual blister packs. Sterilized by gamma irradiation, enabling use straight from the pack, SteriFiles reduce the risk of stick injuries, cut costs and save time.
SteriFiles K-type files are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel with a triangular cross section, maximizing both flexibility and strength. Featuring an enhanced non-cutting tip, they are the first choice for preparing curved and narrow canals. They are available in packs of 6, in 21mm and 25mm lengths, ISO 06 to 80 and assorted. SteriFiles H-type files are aggressive Hedstroem hand files, which cut in an outward pull motion. Their core geometry gives them greater strength and less chance of breakage. They are available in packs

triniti - a perfect cutting edge

Specifically developed by QED to meet the demands of GDPs who want to enjoy the benefits of rotary instrumentation within the
constraints of the NHS, triniti nickel titanium instruments are supplied sterile and individually blister packed.
They have a convex triangular cross section that is an ‘approximate equilateral spherical triangle’, allowing more free space for debris removal. Whilst retaining its core strength, it also allows excellent flexibility and maintains a perfect cutting edge. The non-cutting tip reduces the risk of perforations. Using triniti enables clinicians to prepare root canals in a simple ‘crown down’ technique, requiring
fewer instruments. triniti instruments are available in 21mm and 25mm lengths, and with various tapers. Competitively priced, they are available in packs of six in each of the individual sizes and lengths; assorted packs of each length; and basic
kits containing one of each diameter in either length.
