A dental professor is making a festive abseil with a difference this coming weekend.
Professor Damien Walmsley will be dressing up as Father Christmas and abseiling to raised funds for his local hospice at Star City on Saturday (December 11).
With his daughter, Natasha – and other charity abseilers – Damien, of the School of Dentistry at the University of Birmingham, and who is scientific officer for the BDA, will abseil through the central atrium, making Santa’s annual clamber down your chimney seem like a piece of Christmas cake.
The event is a fantastic opportunity for daredevils to help fund vital palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses across Birmingham and Sandwell.
