How to have a blast at the BDTA
BDTA delegates will have an opportunity to try not one but two new products being showcased on the Philips stand (D07+08).
It is one thing to read about new innovations, however it is quite another to be able to hold them and personally try them in mouth – which is why Philips is installing a record number of brushing stations on the stand.
The stand itself will be huge; about the size of 12 London buses lined up side by side to accommodate 10 brushing stations and the Philips team will be joined by a large number of dental nurses to serve each one.
This is because of the heightened interest in the latest products from the Philips’ stable. Sonicare AirFloss which is a revolutionary new product to clean interproximally by blasting away plaque and food debris.
Its innovative microburst technology delivers a quick burst of air and microdroplets for a gentle yet powerful clean inbetween the teeth.
When combined with brushing, Sonicare AirFloss removes up to 99% more plaque between teeth than brushing with a manual toothbrush alone.1 Studies also show that 86% of patients find Sonicare AirFloss easier to use than floss and it enables them to clean between all teeth in less than 60 seconds.
Just when people thought that toothbrush technology could not be improved Philips launched DiamondClean which takes sonic toothbrushing to a new level of sophistication. The brush is as effective as it is sleek, as it removes up to 100% of plaque from hard to reach places.
It has five brushing modes giving users complete control of their own brushing and is powered by stunning new-to-the world charging technology – either with an induction-charging drinking glass or a USB travel case.
Aline Nassar, Marketing Manager for Philips Oral Healthcare is advising delegates to turn up early, as the queues for the brushing stations the company installed at the IDS for the European launch of the products were unprecedented, even by Philips standards.
