Hygienist wins ADI role

With the role, comes an an opportunity to work with the ADI Committee on behalf of fellow DCPs.

Commenting on the new appointment, she said: 'As the field of implant dentistry develops and the number of implant placements increases, it is critical that the dental team also progresses.

'DCPs are ideally positioned to provide a comprehensive support team to both the implant surgeon and the patient. From the design and manufacture of bespoke restorations right through to the maintenance and continuing care for the patient.

'A whole team approach is vital and I welcome the opportunity to bring to the Committee my enthusiasm and commitment to meeting the need for high quality training with ongoing support. Developing programs encouraging collaboration and clinical excellence will enable DCPs to actively contribute to the field of implantology and patient wellbeing.'
