Taking care of caries

At this year’s BDA Conference, Professor Helen Whelton will be speaking on the one of the most challenging oral health problems facing UK dental professionals – dental caries.

Presenting on Friday 26th April between 10.15am and 11.00am in Theatre 3 at ExCel, Professor Whelton will examine how caries relates to overall oral health in the individual, as well as the UK population. This lecture will also discuss the value of patient education to help improve oral healthcare between appointments. The seminar will close with an investigation of current thinking on in-practice prevention and treatment, including the important role of topical fluoride.
