The General Dental Council (GDC) has confirmed that as part of on-going improvements to its fitness to practise processes it has updated its Investigating Committee (IC) Guidance Manual and Indicative Outcomes Guidance for the IC.

These can be found on the GDC’s website, here and here.

The updated IC guidance manual contains new guidance for pre-meeting discussions, the role of committee co-ordinators, the role of the committee secretary and the giving of advice.

In addition, the GDC’s Indicative Outcomes Guidance has also been amended to reflect feedback received from stakeholders since it was introduced in January 2013 and also to bring it in line with the new Standards for the Dental Team.
