This is the biggest orthodontic event of a generation held in association with the World Federation of Orthodontics.
The International Orthodontic Conference takes place every five years and is without fail exceptional both for scientific and social events. Held at the Excel Conference Centre, this is the third time London has hosted this world event and an extremely high bar has been set for Chair of IOC London, Jonathan Sandler, and his organising committee in 2015.
Sandler, Chair of IOC London, said: ‘This is a monumental event in the orthodontic calendar and BOS is delighted to be bringing this Congress to London. Fifty of the top orthodontic speakers worldwide will be featured in the keynote spots over the three days of the conference. 1100 Abstracts were received from over 75 countries around the world for the poster and short presentation slots which will run throughout the conference’.
A one day pre-congress course (26 September at the Royal College of Surgeons) will see speakers Ewa Czochrowska and Pawel Plakwicz present the latest research on autotransplantation. Other highlights include:
- International speakers including Dirk Weichmann, Marco Rosa, David Sarver and Ali Darendelier
- Top notch homegrown speakers, such as Kevin O’Brien, Simon Littlewood, Alison Murray and Ama Johal to name a few.
- Two parallel scientific programmes, for the orthodontists and dedicated Allied Professionals and Technicians programmes, set up to hear the latest developments and innovations in the field.
- World Village Day with contributions from 17 orthodontic Societies around the world
