Kevin Lewis has announced he will be stepping down as dental director at Dental Protection in 2016.
The author of Dentistry magazine’s long-running news comment article, Kevin has been working at Dental Protection since 1998.
A successor for Kevin’s role will be announced by Dental Protection in due course.
‘My role at Dental Protection has been pretty all-consuming for many years now and it is absolutely the right time to move on,’ Kevin Lewis told Dentistry.co.uk.
‘I spend 20 hours a week commuting and getting all that time back will be wonderful.
‘I am sure that a lot of it will be spent indulging my passion for writing and other forms of communication.
‘But what I definitely won’t be doing is retiring and walking away from dentistry altogether.’
‘Kevin has made an outstanding contribution to dentistry and Dental Protection over many years,’ Simon Kayll, chief executive at MPS, said.
‘He is highly respected and will be deeply missed by his colleagues for whom he has been an insightful leader, mentor and friend.’
