Dental volunteers needed for Moroccan trip

Volunteer
Dentaid is calling on dentists, hygienists and nurses to volunteer on its trip to northern Morocco and help school children and families

Dentaid has invited dentists, hygienists and nurses to volunteer for a trip to northern Morocco on 30 April to 8 May.

The aim of the trip is to carry out dental treatments in schools for children and parents, as well as giving oral health education, tooth-brushing programmes and dietary advice.

Access to dentistry in northern Morocco is very limited and Dentaid claims that this may be the first time many children and their families will have seen a dentist.

This will be the first time the charity has worked in the region and it is hoping to help hundreds of families during the 10-day trip.

Volunteers are being asked to raise £1,000 worth of sponsorship to play for flights, accommodation, meals and any other expenses.
