Packing a punch at the Dentistry Show

FistPractice Plan reveals what’s in store in the Dental Business Theatre during this year’s Dentistry Show.

It has recently been announced that Practice Plan, the UK’s specialist provider of practice-branded patient membership plans, will be hosting the Dental Business Theatre at this year’s Dentistry Show on 22 and 23 April at the NEC in Birmingham.

The Dentistry Show organiser, Closerstill Media, approached Practice Plan to host and curate this year’s Dental Business Theatre and provide a business lecture programme with a difference.

So, what’s in store for you this year? Education. Inspiration. Motivation. Fun. Laughter. The list goes on. The main objective of this year’s Dental Business Theatre is to remove the normal parameters of uniform sessions and have some fun, whilst benefitting from some of the most useful information there is to help you take your dental practice to the next level. Here’s a snippet of what you can expect to see in this year’s theatre.

What’s on?

GDPUK Live – Practice Plan will be introducing GDPUK Live, hosted by Tony Jacobs, with prominent figures from the industry taking to the floor to discuss and debate current hot topics affecting dental businesses. You won’t want to miss this.

The heavyweights – industry-renowned speakers Chris Barrow, Simon Tucker and Les Jones will have you sitting on the edge of your seat as they host some hard-hitting sessions focusing on effective communication, developing your brand and what the future of dentistry holds for us all.

Double-headers – Laura Horton and Ashley Latter will combine their endless dental experience and host a ground-breaking session on the things you should be doing to attract new patients and increase treatment uptake – but will they agree on everything? Feisty business guru Sheila Scott will be entering the ring with employment law expert Sarah Buxton as they answer the big burning human resource questions on everyone’s lips.

Pecha Kucha – Practice Plan introduces Pecha Kucha, a Japanese presentation style with a fast moving and time-driven format. Seven dental business speakers will have just 20 seconds to present each of their 20 slides before the next one advances automatically. Timing is key here, with each speaker having just a little over six minutes to deliver their entire presentation before the next person takes to the stage. This should be entertaining and informative in
equal measure.

Spinning Les Jones into a frenzy – Les Jones, marketing director of Practice Plan and creative extraordinaire, will host the two-day programme in the Dental Business Theatre. In addition to the exciting ‘Bland to brand’ session, Les will deliver on developing a unique knockout brand for your business. He will also play game show host as he spins a wheel full of timely dental business topics. When the wheel stops, it’s down to Les to spring into action and give delegates a quick boost of top tips on that particular topic. But can he cope with the pressure?

Join in the fun at The Dentistry Show on 22 and 23 April 2016 at the NEC in Birmingham. All sessions will take place in the Dental Business Theatre and are free to attend. For details of the full programme, visit www.practiceplan.co.uk/events.
