Be inspired at the UK’s premier digital symposium

HSD-Digital-Symposium-BannerFormerly known as the Cerec Symposium, Henry Schein Dental’s Digital Symposium is back – bigger and better than ever for 2016.

Now in its fifth successful year, the newly christened Digital Symposium is the UK’s premier showcase event for the world of digital dentistry.

This year the Symposium has been expanded to address the total digital workflow with something that will interest every dental and laboratory professional, from those just beginning their digital journey to the most experienced professionals who are already warmly embracing and reaping the benefits of digital technology.

Digital dentistry for all experience levels

Hosted by renowned CAD/CAM expert Julian Caplan, the two-day Digital Symposium 2016 brings together a first-class line-up of speakers and hands-on demonstrations. Featuring many of the leading names from the world of digital dentistry, speakers include Daniel Vasquez, Frankie Acosta, Imad Ghandour, Tony Knight, Ian Buckle, Colin Campbell, Craig Parker, Raman Aulakh and many more, all of whom are ready to share their knowledge and expertise for the benefit of their fellow professionals.

For those taking the first steps on their digital journey there will be a comprehensive introduction to CAD/CAM. Hands-on workshops will enable novices to gain a better understanding of the many digital options that exist and how digital restorative dentistry is expanding the treatment options available, and in doing so meeting patient demands for speed, aesthetics and convenience.

For those more experienced professionals already routinely using digital technology, the Digital Symposium offers a wide range of topics – see the box to the right for more details.

Networking in the heart of London

Henry Schein Dental is looking forward to welcoming the dental and laboratory communities to the beautiful Grange Hotel, overlooking St Paul’s Cathedral, in London on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 May, where they will learn from some of the best and brightest minds in digital dentistry.

On the evening of Friday 6 May, why not join speakers and fellow delegates in the hotel’s magnificent Sky Bar for cocktails and canapés – the perfect place to network, relax and take in the landmark views of the London skyline.

Mackenzie Richter, general manager of Henry Schein Dental’s Connect Dental, noted: ‘A comprehensive introduction to CAD/CAM will be available for those who are beginning their digital journey. For our veteran technology users, a wide range of topics will be covered such as digital case presentation, digital orthodontics, enhancing aesthetics, smile design, stain and glaze, and integrating 3D technologies for implant dentistry.

‘Our team at Henry Schein Dental looks forward to seeing faces familiar and new at the Grange Hotel overlooking St Paul’s Cathedral, as we come together as one community to learn from the best and brightest minds in digital dentistry.’

Veterans in digital dentistry will benefit from the following topics at The Digital Symposium 2016:

  • Cosmetic and general dentist, Daniel Vasquez, and laboratory owner and dental technician, Frankie Acosta, will take you on a journey from conventional to digital dentistry, looking at how to build a powerful digital workflow between dentists and technicians
  • Specialist orthodontist Raman Aulakh will consider the ortho-restorative interface, using digital scanning to combine Invisalign treatment with Cerec restorations. With technology now having the ability to scan patients for orthodontic appliances as well as for indirect restorations, clinicians can now offer patients a complete and holistic approach to inter-disciplinary treatments
  • Jameel Gerdee looks at the revolution in digital smile design that allows the user to identify with greater accuracy and predictability a predetermined endpoint to treatment
  • Experts in implant dentistry, Colin Campbell and Craig Parker, will present a 360° digital implant workflow – and demonstrate the many benefits of integrating 3D technology with implant dentistry.

The Digital Symposium 2016 has something for everyone. Early Bird tickets are just £250 until 16 March. Newly qualified dentists can attend both days for just £100. For more information and to register visit hsddigitalsymposium.co.uk, call 020 7298 1980 or email [email protected].
