Kirsten Dunst says her teeth make her ‘special’

Kirsten Dunst has said her teeth make her feel ‘special’ and stand out from her Hollywood colleagues.

The 33-year-old actress told Instyle that she would never change her crooked teeth to fit the Hollywood smile stereotype.

Kirsten admitted that she was asked by movie bosses when filming Spider-Man to have her teeth corrected, but the actress refused.

Keeping it real

Kirsten said she felt that changing her teeth would make her something she wasn’t, and her teeth had never hindered her career before.

Indeed, 33-year-old Kirsten has been a consistently successful actress since the age of six; her first film role was in the Woody Allen film, Oedipus Wrecks.

She has featured in over16 television series 50 films and over her extensive career, most famously in the Spider-Man trilogy, Interview with the Vampire, and Jumanji.

Speaking to Instyle, she said: ‘Sofia (Coppola, director) said to me when I was 16, “Don’t ever change your teeth”.

‘By the time I got to Spider-Man, they were like, “You should change your teeth”. I said, “No, that’s what makes me special”.

‘I never felt like I had to become something I wasn’t’.
