Dentistry at King’s has been ranked the best in the UK, and has risen to fourth in the world.

That’s according to the latest figures from the QS World University Rankings, which ranks the top universities across 42 subject areas, assessing them on academic reputation, citations to publications and employer reputation to give an overall score.

‘Rising to fourth in the global rankings reaffirms our position as a world-class institution and reflects the dedication, commitment and innovation of our academic and professional staff, our students, and our alumni,’ executive dean, professor Dianne Rekow, said.

King’s Dental Institute scored 86.4 overall, with 83.1 for academic reputation and 89.2 for citations per paper, moving up the global table from seventh place in 2015 to the number four position.
