Attention all orthodontic nurses, therapists, and hygienists! This year’s British Orthodontic Conference (BOC) is offering dental care professionals a triple offering of CPD.

For the first time, the parallel programme runs over three days, delivering an superior level of CPD.

Richard Jones, chairman of the British Orthodontic Conference, said that alongside the usual three-day programme for orthodontists there would be a parallel programme for dental care professionals and support teams. These are taking place on each of the three days, delivering a possible total of 15 hours of CPD.

Richard said: ‘We decided to increase the number of sessions for support teams in 2016 to reflect the increasingly important role that they play in practices and hospitals. On the Friday, we have organised a managerial and practice development session and on Saturday and Sunday there are DCP-specific clinical sessions.’

Delegates to the BOC gain free entry to the Friday night street festival event in Brighton Dome and on Saturday night there is a banquet with fire and ice and cabaret artists. According to Richard: ‘All in all, BOC in Brighton has a great offering for everyone in the orthodontic world.’

The BOC takes place over 23-25 September in Brighton. The early bird deadline is 26 August, so orthodontists and their teams still have another two weeks to book for the conference and its social events. To register for the conference, click here.
