These highly successful part time programmes are led by a team of consultants in restorative dentistry and complemented by respected visiting specialist clinicians and teachers. The programmes are structured to allow participants to continue their current working commitments while studying at an appropriate pace. Each clinical module also includes hands-on consultant time to aid in the assimilation of taught restorative techniques.

allowing procedures to be instantly integrated into clinical practice.

Certificate, diploma and masters programme in minor oral surgery

Plymouth University Peninsula School of Dentistry is delighted to announce the commencement of a certificate, diploma and masters course in minor oral surgery (MOS). The course is structured to allow participants to continue their current working commitments while studying for the postgraduate degree at an appropriate pace.

Special features

  • The course is led by a team of consultants and specialists in oral surgery complimented by respected visiting clinicians and educators
  • The course allows diagnosis, treatment planning patient management and practical surgical techniques to be learnt underpinned by rigorous appraisal of the evidence base so the participants gain the skills to be critically effective and reflective in their own practice. Each module at certificate and diploma stages includes hands on consultant/specialist led supervision and clinical time to facilitate the demonstration, assimilation and practice of taught surgical techniques.
  • Teaching includes small group seminars, tutorials, self-directed
    learning and practical hands on teaching and training in state of the art clinical facilities and simulated dental learning environments.
