Dentists reminded to renew their GDC registration

GDC
Dentists are being reminded to renew their GDC registration by the end of December

The General Dental Council is reminding all dentists to renew their registration before midnight 31 December 2016.

Renewals can be made via the online annual renewal function on eGDC, which offers registrants the option to declare their indemnity (introduced for the first time this year), pay the annual retention fee, declare the number of continuous professional development hours undertaken and update personal information.

Alternatively renewals can be carried out over the phone by calling 0800 197 4610, by post using the business return envelope included in notification letters, which the GDC claims have been sent out recently.

The GDC has reminded registrants that late payment or not declaring indemnity could result in removal from the register and ceasing work as a dentist.
