New deputy editor for Community Dental Health

Professor David Moles, professor of oral health services research and director of postgraduate education and research at Plymouth University Peninsula School of Dentistry, has been appointed deputy editor of the journal Community Dental Health.

Community Dental Health publishes scientific articles, reviews, discussion papers, news items, and editorials. It is of interest to dentists working in dental public health and to other professionals concerned with disease prevention, health service planning, and health promotion throughout the world.

Speaking of his appointment, David said: ‘I am delighted to be stepping in to this role at such a prestigious and well-regarded journal. Community Dental Health practices and developments sit at the heart of what we do at Peninsula School of Dentistry and contribute greatly to what makes us innovative, leading and different. I am looking forward to continuing to work with the editorial board at the journal in my new role.’

Professor Peter G Robinson, editor of Community Dental Health, commented: ‘David has shown real commitment and skill in recent years and I am delighted that he will take on this important role. He is a brilliant teacher and has outstanding knowledge of statistics and health services research.’

Professor Christopher Tredwin, head of Plymouth University Peninsula School of Dentistry, added: ‘We are immensely proud of David’s achievement and we believe he will bring added value in his new role on the journal’s editorial board.’
