Technology to enhance patients’ everyday oral care

Philips Protectiveclean has Sonicare’s special sonic cleaning technology at its core.

The brush features a two-minute timer and a pressure sensor, which provides real time feedback, ensuring patients don’t brush too hard whilst minimising their risk of gum damage and gingival recession.

Patients are alerted when to replace head

Its clinically efficacious Adaptiveclean brush head is proven to remove seven times more plaque than a manual toothbrush.

It also features new Brushsync radio frequency identification technology to monitor usage and alert patients when it’s time to replace the head.

Designed to make good oral health more accessible, the striking Protectiveclean range has options to suit different price points and includes important features recommended by dental professionals.

Philips is currently conducting research amongst 900 manual toothbrush users from 100 dental practices across the UK via their dental hygienist to understand the impact of Sonicare Protectiveclean on patient behavioural change and in achieving good oral hygiene.

The research will be published at the end of 2018.
