Eastman student wins NSK award

Dr Eoin O’Carroll has been awarded the 2017/18 NSK Prize for his performance during the MSc year of the Eastman Dental Institute’s Restorative Dental Practice Programme.

The award, in form of a top-of-the-range hand piece sponsored by NSK (UK), is presented to the student who achieves the best overall results for their masters dissertation.

Programme director and head of Eastman CPD, Professor Albert Leung said: ‘Many congratulations to Eoin who has produced a superb dissertation investigating the teaching of occlusion at the dental schools in the UK and Ireland.’

‘We are very grateful to NSK (UK) for their very generous and continuous support of this prestigious award.’

Before receiving the prize Eoin spoke to the 18/19 cohort of MSc students about the findings of his research, which were presented at the last Association of Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) Conference, and his experience of the MSc programme.
