Dr Asif Chatoo has been recognised as a winning specialist in the annual awards run by the Top Doctors organisation.
Top Doctors is a listing service for specialists in the field of medicine and dentistry.
Only one person from each of 30 specialties has made it onto the list of UK winners with Dr Chatoo being the only orthodontist.
Dr Chatoo established the first UK clinic dedicated to lingual orthodontics and is the only UK orthodontist accredited by both the World and European Lingual Orthodontics Societies.
The awards serve to recognise medical excellence, acknowledging the best of the best in healthcare.
Nominations for the top clinicians on the website are made by other doctors who choose the specialist they would most like to see.
