Dentistry magazine Business Publication of the Year 2019
Dentistry magazine has won the Business Publication of the Year award at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards.
Announced on Friday, Dentistry magazine beat six other publications to the coveted prize.
The PPA Independent Publisher Awards judge independent publishing companies across every sector in the UK.
‘To say we’re thrilled at this is an understatement,’ Guy Hiscott, editor of Dentistry magazine, said.
‘Winning Business Publication of the Year is validation of the passion and pride we pour into making Dentistry essential reading for the dental profession.
‘However, no one person won this award.
‘Just like the excellent dental care that we champion, the creation of Dentistry magazine is a team game.
‘It belongs to so many people.
‘Our own fantastic team, the countless contributors who share their knowledge by writing for us and of course our loyal readers.
‘I therefore hope everyone in the profession can feel proud that their magazine has received such an enormous accolade.’
Dentistry magazine will be celebrating its 25th year of providing the profession with the latest news, opinions and articles next year.
The magazine is actually already a multi-award winning publication.
It previously won UK Magazine of the Year in 2003 and 2004.
It also won the IPAC Achievement Award in 2006 and 2007 and Business Magazine of the Year in 2008.
‘Our mission is to make Dentistry a vibrant part of the UK’s thriving dental profession,’ Mr Hiscott continued.
‘And so it’s a phenomenal feeling to have our success at doing that recognised by such well-respected figures in the publishing industry.’
