Blue Wednesday is here!

As part of Mouth Cancer Action Month, the Oral Health Foundation is urging everyone to wear something blue on Wednesday 13 November.

Known as Blue Wednesday, the day aims to raise awareness of mouth cancer.

Participants have been urged to show their support and ‘do something blue’.

This can take the form of buying a blue ribbon badge, wearing blue clothing and painting nails blue.

Impact factor

For even greater impact, the charity is encouraging team involvement.

So why not invite your work colleagues as well as friends and family to join in?

Once you’ve picked out your hue of blue, remember to take lots of pictures!

The best way to drum up lots of support for the cause and spread valuable messages is to share your pictures on social media.

When posting your pictures remember to use the hashtag #BlueWednesday.

Ensure that you include some information about mouth cancer alongside, too.

Events such as Blue Wednesday are a crucial part of catching more cases early.

By making more people alert to the major signs, symptoms and causes of this terrible disease, the more people are able to beat mouth cancer.

Mouth Cancer Action Month

Mouth Cancer Action Month is a charity campaign organised by the Oral Health Foundation.

Supporters joined The Oral Health Foundation at the Houses of Parliament earlier this month to launch the campaign.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of mouth cancer and shares the important message of being mouthaware.
