Utilising direct access for hygienists and therapists
The event will focus on helping dental hygienists and therapists feel confident in utilising direct access. It will help them have more autonomy and improve patient access to care – in turn growing their business profile and practices.
The talk is aimed to help and support dental hygienists and therapists who would like to work under ‘direct access’. It will explain what this means, when it started, what can be done under it and why direct access is important. Participants will also learn about the limitations, how to gain valid consent and the considerations that need to be taken.
Additionally, the webinar will show DHTs how to implement DA and how to communicate with their practice and patients. They can also learn how to drive new patients to the practice via direct access.
There will be a number of key case studies featuring patients who have been treated under direct access by a hygienist. It will also include information on treatment planning, record keeping and referrals.
Finally, it will provide insight into business acumen and revenue potential – with a Q & A taking place to round it off.
