More about Swati Nehete

Swati Nehete is a senior clinical lecturer in restorative dentistry at Queen Mary University of London, Whitechapel. She has been in the post since 2004 and continues to enjoy teaching prosthetics, prosthodontics and broad restorative dentistry to students. She has good insight into the challenges posed to the dental practitioner. Swati also has a research interest in TM joint dysfunction and bioactive glasses.

Swati undertook prosthetics training at the Eastman Dental Institute. Followed by senior house officer training posts in maxillofacial surgery and restorative dentistry. She has also enjoyed working with influential prosthodontists and doing research with Professor Robert Hill and Dr David Gillam. Swati has been involved with bioactive glasses since 2009. Her brief stint in general practice allowed her to recognise the complexities of providing dental care to the patient community.
