Online Dentistry Show: Barry Cockcroft – evidence based prevention for all post COVID

Barry Cockcroft will talk at the Online Dentistry ShowThis week, we take a look at Barry Cockcroft, a leading speaker at the Online Dentistry Show, and his topic on evidence-based prevention after COVID-19.

Coming on the 4 and 5 September, the inaugural event will host a range of industry leaders and speakers.

Barry Cockcroft

Dr Barry Cockcroft, former chief dental officer for England, will explore the role and impact of the evidence-based ‘Delivering Better Oral Health’ toolkit. He will review the concept of prevention for all and not just those at risk, whatever their setting.

Risk factors for those giving concern will also be discussed along with the opportunity for prevention for the changing demography of the population. 

Aim – an overview of the role and impact of evidence-based prevention both now and post COVID-19.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the impact of evidence-based prevention for all and the range of delivery settings 
  • Explore the role of prevention in relation to the changing demography of the population
  • Review the opportunities for evidence-based prevention delivered both chairside and remotely.

The live lecture will take place on Saturday 5 September, from 10:45am until 11:45am.

This, along with the latest data from the Adult Survey published in June this year, means that active caries prevention is crucial in older adults.
