Coming this September, the Online Dentistry Show is putting on the very first virtual exhibition in UK dentistry with support from gold sponsors, Septodont.

Ian Corbett
Today we hear from Ian Corbett. Ian is an NHS consultant oral surgeon and honorary senior lecturer in Newcastle with a specialist oral surgery private practice covering the north of England. He is a previous chair of the IADR Dental Anesthetic Research Group and also past recipient of a European Federation for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry award.
Titled ‘Local anaesthesia – evidence based success’, Ian Corbett will give an insight into the evidence for using the equipment, solutions and techniques dentists have in their armamentarium to the best of their ability. He will also highlight how to manage difficult anaesthetic situations.
‘Successful local anaesthesia is paramount to almost all that we do in clinical dentistry,’ Ian Corbett says. ‘Dental injections and dental pain are frequently cited by patients as reasons for non-attendance.
