This month Nafisa Mughal takes a closer look at Wow Fusion and explains how it’s helping to improve the overall health and appearance of her patients’ skin.
What is Wow Fusion?
For those of you that haven’t heard about this relatively new skin rejuvenation treatment, you are in for a treat!
Wow Fusion is a microneedling treatment that combines the benefits of microneedling alongside mesotherapy, and skin nutrition.
Skin serums are deposited just under the skin, where they are used by the cells to regenerate and repair the skin. Great news for those that need an all-round skin treatment. Or those who have hard-to-treat skin conditions such as Rosacea.
How does it work?
The Wow Fusion serums are a bespoke mix of nutrients blended specifically for skin concerns.
The Wow device is a glass vial with a round needle tip containing 20 titanium 24K gold plated needles. Stretch the skin and use the device in a stamping motion to penetrate into the skin.
This stamping motion creates microchannels in which we deposit the serum at the correct depth under the skin. Some treatments also include the use of Botulinum Toxin within the serum – with phenomenal results!
Why is it so good?
The results of Wow Fusion are, well, wow!
I have seen many skin types restored and repaired using this treatment. Not only are we ‘feeding’ the skin nutrients, the physical effect of microneedling also causes the skin’s fibroblasts to create more collagen, leading to firmer skin.
Wow Fusion aims to treat many skin conditions, for example:
- Skin ageing
- Pigmentation
- Roasacea
- Hair thinning
- Oily skin
- Inflamed skin
- Hyperhydrosis.
Because it works at the right layer at the dermal junction, the cells are able to use the extra nutrients and work at repairing the skin. Or in cases of oily skin or excessive sweating, it also stops the overproduction of oil/sweat.

When treating clients, I always discuss the overall health and appearance of their skin.
A lot of the time, they do not realise the importance of good skin health and it is up to us to educate clients on this topic. I find that the more they know, the more they want to invest in their skin health and then ultimately their wellbeing.
