Find out more about the ADG Conference 2024

The Association of Dental Groups (ADG) will be holding its first conference on the 15 November at Old Trafford in Manchester.

This event for dental groups is focused on patient centred sustainable growth and is a perfect opportunity for groups to learn from each other and tap into a wide network of experience. With the conference open by invitation to groups of all sizes it will be considering many areas that growing groups always wish to learn more about.

Speakers and discussions

Starting the day will be Jim Macleod CB CVO using his extensive experience in the armed forces to talk about what he wished he had known about how to be a great leader.

Great leadership is key to the sustainable growth of any aspiring group. Taking your teams with you as you grow and helping them to continue to keep patients at the centre of all you do. Hearing the experience of someone from outside the industry on leadership is a powerful way of learning and then reflecting on your own leadership style and skills.

The conference will continue with a series of panel discussions which will range from how to consider finance and investment in your group, to the considerations of your NHS and private commitment with Jason Wong, England’s CDO and Rachel Derby, president of the British Association of Private Dentistry.

You will also hear speakers from some of the largest groups in the UK and how their journey has developed and their own plans for the future. Whether continuing to grow or looking for ways to improve patient and staff experience, good groups will always be searching for the next horizon.

Be part of the ADG

The ADG will also be hosting an early evening reception after the sessions to encourage conversation amongst delegates having heard the presentations and discussions during the day in a more relaxed setting. This will be a great time to ask those more personal questions that you may not have wanted to raise in a larger group.

The power of the ADG is its membership, both in experience and numbers. As it continues to work to raise the concerns and challenges faced by dental groups, the larger the membership becomes, the more influence can be created, both with government and wider stakeholders in the profession. It can sometimes feel hard to influence change on your own with the issues you may face in your group, however being part of something bigger gives you a voice to shape the discussion.

With a new government in position this is a prime time to be part of the ADG, to grow, to learn, to have your voice for change, and achieve patient centred sustainable growth.
