
Philips Zoom! marked a confident new chapter in professional whitening at its recent relaunch event.
A warm summer’s evening set the perfect backdrop for the relaunch of Philips Zoom!, as dental professionals gathered at The Broadcaster in White City, London. With a dress code calling for ‘a touch of sparkle,’ the energy of the evening was a fitting match for the unveiling of a refreshed brand many already recognise, now reintroduced with a fresh identity and renewed purpose. Beyond the social setting, the relaunch signalled a significant step forward for Philips in the professional whitening space.
Jessica Puckett, dental professional leader UK&I at Philips, explained that the decision to relaunch Zoom! was driven by both market demand and clinical ambition.
She said: ‘We recognised that both dental professionals and patients are seeking more than just a whitening product – they want a complete, trusted solution that delivers results, enables clinical confidence, and enhances the patient experience.’
A modern look
The updated product line introduces a bold new look for Philips Zoom!, which now has fully recyclable, paper-based packaging as part of the company’s wider environmental commitment. The refreshed design reflects a more contemporary, clinical aesthetic and supports Philips’ broader goals of reducing virgin and non-renewable material use.
Dental hygienist and therapist Kimberley Lloyd-Rees praised the new look. She said: ‘What immediately stood out to me was the fresh, modern look of the packaging. It’s sleek, understated, and gives a real sense of quality and professionalism.
‘I particularly liked the use of cardboard – not only does it feel more sustainable compared to plastic or tins, but it also aligns with the growing demand for more environmentally conscious choices in dentistry.’
Another standout feature of the new product offering is the B1 shade guarantee – a commitment that if a patient doesn’t reach B1 shade after completing treatment with the standard Zoom! protocol, additional gel syringes will be provided free of charge. The guarantee reflects the brand’s confidence in delivering consistent, clinically effective results.
Puckett added that the event was an opportunity to ‘reignite excitement and confidence in the brand through a bold new look and feel’.


Practical, valuable guidance
The evening also focused on the unveil of the Zoom! Playbook, a new resource designed to support dental teams in delivering whitening effectively and confidently.
Dr Alif Moosajee, principal dentist of Oakdale Dental, contributed to the playbook and reflected on how the guidance might have helped earlier in his career. He said: ‘Whitening can be a very simple treatment – until something doesn’t go quite to plan. That’s when it becomes essential to really understand it so complications and difficulties can be explained and managed before they are encountered.
‘That’s only a small part of the power of the playbook – it also looks at the business of dentistry and where whitening fits into that.’
The handbook has been designed to be approachable and practical, covering topics such as patient selection, clinical protocols, photography, sensitivity management, and patient communication – areas often overlooked in conventional training.
Lloyd-Rees, who also contributed, praised the playbook’s design and relevance. She said: ‘In today’s competitive environment, having something practical, visual and easy to use makes a real difference.
‘Whether you’re just starting out or have been in practice for years, there’s something to learn.’

Beyond the resource itself, the relaunch event aimed to reaffirm Philips’ commitment to supporting clinicians not just with products, but with meaningful professional tools and partnership. For Puckett, the evening represented more than a product update: ‘It brought together key members of the Philips dental community and created a real sense of momentum and excitement around the new Philips Zoom! offering.
‘Many attendees highlighted the clarity of our new positioning, the strength of the updated branding, and the value of the new tools, especially the Zoom! Playbook.
‘More importantly, the event achieved what we set out to do: re-establish Philips Zoom! as a leader in professional whitening, demonstrate our commitment to supporting dental professionals, and lay the foundation for long-term growth.
