Why AI is 'truly revolutionary' for patient communication

Liam McNaughton answers some of the biggest questions on the future of communication in dental practices – and how artificial intelligence (AI) is forecast to impact it.

We are seeing AI increasingly being used in dentistry for diagnostics and treatment planning. How are you seeing it be used for communication?

Dental practices are beginning to use AI to help with their marketing content and to improve their email and other messaging communications. 

We also use AI to generate all music on hold messaging, and other phone system messages and content. 

But most exciting so far is the ability to transcribe and analyse every inbound call for tone, content and intent, which in turn allows for reporting on call-handling by the reception or TCO staff.
