Treeline Dental builds trust through social media

Treeline Dental Care explains how its approach to social media is attracting new patients and building trust with existing ones.

Isn’t social media really for people, not brands? Can a dental brand genuinely make ‘friends’ on social media?  These are the questions that spring to mind when a company or product uses social media to try to engage with its community to promote its services. And when it comes to dentistry – will people really engage with a dental brand? For some, they may have an underlying fear of the dentist and so being ‘social’ with a dentistry brand might not feel intuitive – or a lot of fun!

However, Treeline Dental knows that trust online is built through transparency, warmth and engagement coupled with social responsibility. And it is this strategic approach that has led to a new, fresh and successful approach, which now sees Treeline welcoming almost 9,000 followers to its Instagram account.

This is the challenge the Treeline Dental Group set itself when approaching its social media revamp. The results are striking to see, and Treeline’s Instagram and Facebook pages now burst with the warmth of the team, simple facts about treatments, authentic case studies and a spirit of fun and community. And it is the TikTok channel where Treeline can really have fun! This all builds up a spirit of trust.

New social media strategy

The group, which is a leader in the East Midlands area, has designed a social media strategy to increase patient trust, strengthen brand presence, drive patient enquiries and ultimately secure more bookings.

Deciding to prioritise videos over still footage has been a key strategic decision. Studies show that 72% of consumers prefer video over text when learning about a product or service (source: HubSpot). Using videos and photos that people can see are genuine behind-the-scenes footage has been a powerful approach. Treeline is careful to always use real people, both patients and staff, in their films – and then uses these authentic testimonials to create proof and reassurance.

Of course, social media is also a good way of sharing educational information too. Treeline ensures that any post with educational information is ‘bite-size’, as well as simple and clear in messaging. Topics covered include preventative oral health and aesthetic treatments, as well as tackling some frequently asked questions so that Treeline Dental is quickly earning the position of a trusted authority on a range of treatments.

‘Curiosity hooks patients’

Jimmey Palahey, co-founder, Treeline Dental said: ‘Trust is the number one priority for a dentistry brand, and we know that the only way to build trust is to always be authentic. So, it has been this discipline of capturing real footage, genuine experiences and feedback that has helped us engage and reassure. We also know that curiosity hooks patients, so we have made our social feeds fun and a real digital experience.

‘Working with our social media agency, The Bigger Brand, we have been combining high-quality videography, photography and strategic copywriting, so we’re not only showcasing Treeline Dental’s expertise but also making our audience feel seen, heard, and confident in their dental care choices.’
