A new one-day event is inviting dental professionals to look beyond the clinical side of their careers.
Beyond Dentistry brings together experts in leadership, branding, wellbeing and mindset for a day of learning, reflection and personal growth.
Taking place on Saturday 27 September 2025 at Bhaktivedanta Manor in Watford, the event is the latest initiative from Dr Ash Parmar, founder of Smile Design by Ash and The Academy by Ash.
The programme is designed to support dentists in building more fulfilling, sustainable careers. Topics range from leadership in a changing world to meditation, mental focus, values-based practice and personal branding. Sessions will also explore purpose, mindset and the idea of service in a professional context.
Combining personal and professional growth
The speaker line-up includes:
- Dr Mervyn Druian – pioneer of cosmetic dentistry in the UK and co-author of Dream, Believe, Achieve
- Dr Rana Al-Falaki – periodontist, executive coach and international speaker
- Mo Luthra – branding and business development expert
- Rajiv Nandha – NHS wellbeing speaker, pharmacist and leadership coach
- Jade Bovingdon – sharing her own powerful personal story.
Early bird tickets are priced at £125, including a vegetarian lunch and a bundle of additional resources. These include books from Mervyn Druian (Dream, Believe, Achieve) and SB Keshava Swami (Gita 3), as well as access to speaker content. After 21 August, ticket prices rise to £175. All proceeds will go to charity.
Dr Parmar is a well-known figure in UK private dentistry, with over 30 years of experience in high-end cosmetic and restorative care. He has taught and lectured internationally, appeared on television, and built a reputation for combining clinical excellence with a focus on personal and professional growth. Through The Academy by Ash, he now mentors other dentists on clinical skills, mindset, and business strategy – bringing a holistic perspective to career development in dentistry.
