The British Dental Industry Association (BDIA) announced the recent election of its new president and vice president at its annual general meeting held during the association’s biggest ever national conference.

Taking place at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire, Matt Turner, general manager at A-Dec Dental, was elected as the new president of the BDIA, with Simon Rich, managing director at Skillbond, taking up the role of vice president.

Commenting on his new two-year appointment, Matt Turner said: ‘Becoming president of the British Dental Industry Association is a tremendous honour and privilege. It reflects years of strategic leadership in the dental sector and reaffirms my commitment to helping shape our industry’s future.’

Simon Rich added:I am honoured to accept the position of vice president of the BDIA. The association plays a crucial role in championing quality, ethics, and collaboration across the dental sector.

‘I look forward to working closely with the BDIA leadership and our industry colleagues to support our members and help shape a strong and sustainable future for UK dentistry.’

Edmund Proffitt, BDIA chief executive, said: ‘Matt and Simon bring together a wide range of industry experience and perspectives. Their collective focus will be on continuing the association’s long-standing mission: supporting members, promoting the highest standards, and helping the industry adapt to new challenges and opportunities.’
