Lunos Prophy Powders come in two variants, ‘Gentle Clean’ and ‘Perio Combi’. With both, the priority is the protection of sensitive dental substance, whilst simultaneously offering effective cleaning. They display an extremely low abrasive effect on tooth enamel and dentine, and can therefore be used as part of regular recall treatments.
They also contain the innovative abrasive agent, trehalose, which is incredibly water-soluble, improving patient comfort and protecting the suction unit.
Trehalose is a disaccharide that is water-soluble. It tastes pleasantly sweet yet is not cariogenic. It leaves no powder residue in patients’ mouths and protects the oral mucosa. On top of all that, it even protects the suction unit.
It is also easy to administer, as the ergonomic bottle has a flip spout cap, meaning it can be used single-handedly. The design also minimises dust when the powder chambers are filled. The Gentle Clean powder is available in a range of flavour options, the Perio Combi is supplied in a single neutral variant.

Alternatively, the Lunos Perio Combi Prophy Powder, can be used for both supragingival and subgingival treatments. The excellent water solubility of both enables safe, virtually residue-free dissolution in the periodontal pocket and suction system.
Thanks to this, patients no longer experience the unpleasant grittiness typically associated with this type of product and it doesn’t clog up the suction unit or the amalgam separator.
