This mainly private dental practice located in New Forest are seeking a Dental Receptionist to start as soon as possible

The role is to work full time Monday - Friday (35 hours per week)

This will be based on a shift pattern from 8am-2pm and 2pm-8pm

This is a 3 surgery site, equipped with modern equipment in place.

All surgeries are fully equipped, with Digital X-rays on site,Radiographs, CB CT scanner . Intra Oral Camera. Fully computerised using Exact

As well as general dentistry the practice complete treatments such as Cosmetics,Implants, Invisalign etc

Employment Duties:

1. Perform a high quality reception and administration service to ensure patient satisfaction and maximum contribution to practice efficiency, effectiveness and profitability in line with the GDC guidelines and practice policies
2. Establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team
3. Liaise with the practice manager on all matters concerning administration, pay and service conditions
4. Assist with the supervision of the trainee receptionist in the practice
5. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work

Key Tasks:

1. Answer the telephone and deal with patient enquiries in a positive, efficient and friendly manner
2. Receive and deal with patients and visitors in a pleasant and prompt manner
3. Keep patients informed of any delays
4. Notify dentists/hygienists of patients’ arrivals
5. Schedule patient appointments in accordance with the practice policies and keep records of all appointments and remind patients of their appointments as required
6. Prepare patient records and day sheets for each dentist [hygienist/therapist]]
7. Collect and record patient payments and pursue any debts in accordance with the practice payments policy
8. Maintain the patient records to ensure they are completed correctly before filing them securely] [Follow computer procedures to ensure that patient records are properly maintained]
9. Carry out routine house-keeping procedures on the computer, including undertaking regular back-ups in line with practice policies
10. Liaise with dental laboratories, suppliers and other organisations as required, keeping records of laboratory work in and out
11. Deal in an appropriate and prompt manner with patient feedback and inform the practice manager about patient comments and complaints
12. Manage the sales of dental sundries to patients and ensure patients are provided with the opportunity to buy sundries when they leave the practice
13. Keep the office, patient’s toilet and reception area tidy and welcoming
14. Identify his/her own training and development needs and undertake appropriate training as agreed with the line manager during appraisal
16. Assist throughout the practice and perform such other tasks as reasonably requested by the principal
17. Attend all practice meetings as requested

Salary is dependent on experience and to be discussed at interview stage. They are looking around £10.50 per hour.

Candidates must have dental receptionist experience
