Safeguarding adults, children, and young people at risk – CQC dental mythbuster 29 update
This webinar will ensure dental team members are aware of and understand the recently updated guidance from the CQC on safeguarding adults, children, and young people at risk.
It will also provide guidance on how to comply with the latest guidance on safeguarding.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand how to integrate the safeguarding of adults, children, and young people into your practice systems and processes
- Mitigate the increased risks to adults, children and young people where practice systems and processes are weak, and team members do not know what to do when a safeguarding situation occurs
- Take a proactive approach to safeguarding, focusing on prevention and early identification, and the importance of your crucial immediate response when a safeguarding situation occurs
- Develop your knowledge of the CPD requirements for safeguarding.

Since qualifying from Manchester University, Pat’s career has included more thqn 30 years in general practice, oral surgery teaching positions at Guy's and Manchester, deputy chief dental officer at Denplan, group clinical director at Oasis Dental Care, course director at the FGDP(UK), and chief dental officer at Dentex.
In 2010, Pat founded Apolline to provide compliance and regulatory support to dental practices and groups. She is passionate about compliance and has lectured widely on all compliance-based subjects. In 2023, Apolline partnered with FMC to form an integral part of the Dentistry Practice Services division.
