Who says dentists don’t think outside the box?

Owner and principal dentist at 38 Devonshire Street, Dr Gaynor Barrett, is a great example of professionals who go well beyond their remit as dentists and are a true inspiration to others.

In addition to the various responsibilities linked to running a successful practice, Dr Barrett took it upon herself to turn her disused basement into a high-end seminar suite.

She has recognised the importance of continuing professional development in achieving excellence in practice and equally understands how difficult it can be to fit high quality education into a busy schedule.

‘Seminars@thirtyeight’ is located in a beautiful Edwardian building just off Harley Street in the heart of London’s West End medical district.

Dr Barrett’s vision is that the comfortable and private backdrop of 38 Devonshire Street will encourage inspiration, innovation and a culture of open dialogue and interaction between delegates and first class speakers from around the world, thereby facilitating a unique learning process in the perfect context of an exclusive, private dental practice.

Dr Barrett is a true team player and her generosity in wishing to see others succeed warrants her impressive links with UK and International elite speakers who welcome her invitation to mentor dental professionals in her intimate facility.

Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr Pirooz Zia, was the first to lecture in the new seminar suite and will be followed by high profile lecturers including Dr Jason Smithson who is running a hands-on course on direct resin artistry and is supported by Nuview and Optident in October and November and Professor Giovanni Zucchelli in 2011.

Seminars@thirtyeight plans to offer courses at various times during the working week and at weekends with the aim of making high quality CPD more accessible to both dentists and team members alike.
