Research by Click4teeth has revealed significant differences in dental implant treatment costs across the country.

While the positive impact that dental implants can have on patients’ quality of life can be invaluable, new research has revealed that patients’ investment for common dental implant treatments in the UK can vary.

The study, conducted by dental implant information website, Click4teeth.com, revealed that patients can expect to pay an average of £2,334 for a single tooth implant in the UK.

Comparatively, an implant-supported full arch bridge or denture will cost, on average, £13,425.

The least expensive implant treatment cited was a single-tooth implant at £1,700, a difference of £1,300 when compared to the most expensive fee quoted for the same treatment, at £3,000.

Meanwhile, the most expensive treatment was quoted by one implant dentist as £25,400 for an implant-supported full arch bridge or denture. The same treatment was also priced at £9,000 by another implant dentist surveyed – representing a £16,400 difference.

Resource for patients

The data is based on a survey of more than 25 UK implant dentists, carried out during autumn 2016.

The fees quoted do not include initial consultations, treatment planning or diagnostic scans. They do not cover any extractions, bone grafting and other associated surgical procedures.

The survey by Click4teeth is an important benchmarking resource for implant dentists, and a vital source of information for patients at the start of their implant treatment journey.

Click4teeth was developed by Healthcare Specialist Marketing, and is one of a range of packages the company offers to support implant dentistry growth.

The Click4teeth website’s ‘My implant teeth’ section allows visitors to the website to submit and read real testimonials.

Moreover, informative feature articles such as, ‘How do I choose a dentist for my implant treatment?’ and ‘What is the right age for dental implants?’, provide further insight into the treatment.

Click4teeth can be exclusively utilised by dentists who place implants. Individual directory pages on the website are limited to featured dentists, providing an easy and inexpensive way to gain new implant patients.

What’s more, the annual subscription costs less than the average treatment fee income from one extra implant case.
