The Online CPD Dentistry Show has raised £5,050 in support of the NHS and the great work it’s doing during the coronavirus.
Thanks to Oral-B, FMC launched its inaugural Online CPD Dentistry Show in April, giving delegates nine hours of ECPD. As part of the event, FMC pledged to donate profits from the show to the NHS.
This sparked a phenomenal reaction from the profession as more than 18,000 delegates registered for the show.
‘I just want to say a big thank you to the profession for getting on board and registering for the Online CPD Dentistry Show,’ Leanna Ellis, FMC events director, says.
‘This shows a real appetite from the profession to support our NHS at this moment. And when registrants can get a year’s ECPD at the same time, all for free, then it’s a win-win.
‘The amount raised is a small gesture in this bigger fight against the coronavirus. But if we all do our bit, I’m sure we can all come through this stronger together.’
Online CPD Dentistry Show
This was the very first Online CPD Dentistry Show that FMC has launched in its 25-year history.
FMC has also launched a Justgiving page, where those from the dental profession can continue to donate if they wish.
‘As you may be aware, we lost our founder Kimberley Finlayson to COVID-19,’ Craig Welling, commercial director at FMC, said.
‘Given the tremendous pressure our NHS is encountering, we want to do all we can to help support them. We have turned our magazines and websites blue. And we’re also doing a number of initiatives to support the dental profession through these challenging times and to raise awareness and donations for the NHS.
