Thousands log on for first ever Online CPD Dentistry Show
The very first Online CPD Dentistry Show launched today, with more than 15,000 dental professionals registered to gain nine hours of ECPD.
Thanks to Oral-B FMC is running the UK’s first live CPD event to support the profession and the NHS. Profits from the event will go to the NHS and the great work it is doing during the coronavirus crisis.
Speakers for the first day included:
- Chet Trivedy – medical emergencies
- Nicky Benbow – disinfection and decontamination
- Jimmy Makdissi – radiography and radiation protection (including IR(ME)R update)
- Philip Lewis – oral cancer.
‘The first day has been absolutely phenomenal,’ Craig Welling, FMC commercial director, said.
‘Along with turning our publications blue, we’re doing everything we can to support the profession and the NHS during the coronavirus crisis. We’re really grateful the profession has got behind this initiative and signed up for free to the Online CPD Dentistry Show.’
‘But it doesn’t stop there. Tomorrow includes a great line up of speakers and I encourage you to sign up to our second day.’
Online CPD Dentistry Show day two
The second day is completely free to sign up to and also includes a leading line up of speakers.
Speakers for the second day include:
- Pat Langley – safeguarding children and young people/safeguarding vulnerable adults
- John Makin – handling complaints
- Leo Briggs – legal and ethical issues.
Lectures from the Online CPD Dentistry Show will still be available until Sunday. So if you missed the first day, there’s still an opportunity to catch up.
‘We wanted to do something innovative to help the NHS and dentists during the coronavirus crisis,’ event director at FMC, Leanna Ellis, says. ‘This way dentists can get their year’s ECPD in one go, all while they may be unable to attend the practice.
‘This is the first Online CPD Dentistry Show FMC has put on and is available across two days that delegates can register for.
‘But, by attending the Online CPD Dentistry Show, you will also be helping fund the vital work our frontline NHS staff are doing.’
